For farmers and landowners

Livestock field clearance service

Protecting your animals, preserving your land.

Hidden metal debris can pose a serious risk to livestock, farm machinery, and the safety of your land. Whether you've had bonfires on your property, historic farm activity, demolition work, or simply suspect there may be metal contamination in your fields, we can help.

Using metal detecting equipment, we search fields and grazing land for potentially harmful objects — nails, wire, scrap metal, sharp fragments, and other buried debris that could injure livestock or damage agricultural equipment.

Open agricultural field being cleared of metal debris

Free field clearance for landowners

We offer this service completely free of charge on one simple condition: we are granted permission to metal detect the field being cleared and any other land on the property that the landowner is happy for us to search.

This arrangement allows us to help farmers and landowners improve the safety of their land while also enjoying the opportunity to responsibly explore the property's history through metal detecting.

Why field clearance matters

Metal debris hidden beneath the surface can cause real harm. By locating and removing these items, we can help make your land safer for both animals and equipment.

  • Cause injury to cattle, horses, sheep, and other livestock
  • Contaminate hay and silage during harvesting
  • Damage mowers, balers, and other farm machinery
  • Create unnecessary risks and costs for landowners

What we remove

We commonly recover the following from fields and grazing land. All recovered harmful items are removed and disposed of responsibly.

  • Nails from bonfire sites
  • Wire and fencing fragments
  • Scrap iron and steel
  • Sharp metal objects
  • Agricultural debris
  • Miscellaneous buried metal waste

Responsible and respectful detecting

We treat every property with the utmost respect. All targets are carefully recovered, holes are refilled, gates are left as found, and livestock are never disturbed.

We carry out our work professionally and responsibly, ensuring minimal disruption to your land and your animals.
